If you’ve been rocking with Bosstalk 101, then you already know what time it is. Every week we break down the biggest stories impacting the culture, and this week’s conversation takes us back to one of hip-hop’s most debated mysteries.

Duane “Keefe D” Davis is making headlines once again. The 63-year-old former Southern California gang leader, who is currently awaiting trial as the only person ever charged in connection with the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur, is now claiming he didn’t kill Tupac after all. Keefe D alleges that DJ Vlad paid him $150,000 and suggests financial incentives played a role in the story that ultimately became part of the public narrative. The claims have reignited conversations that many believed had already been settled.

As expected, E CEO and OG Piru came with two completely different perspectives. E CEO explored the possibility that there may be more to Keefe D’s latest claims than people are willing to admit. Could someone have been pressured into telling a story? Could money, publicity or outside influence have shaped the narrative over the years? Those are questions that continue to fuel debate.

Meanwhile, Compton native OG Piru wasn’t buying it. He believes Keefe D is simply changing his tune because he’s sitting behind bars facing the reality of his current situation. From his perspective, this isn’t a confession of innocence—it’s an attempt to rewrite history in hopes of gaining sympathy or creating reasonable doubt before trial.

Nearly 30 years after Tupac Shakur’s murder, the case continues to divide public opinion. So now we ask you: Is Keefe D a man who took the fall chasing money, fame and attention only to regret it later? Or did DJ Vlad simply give someone enough room to expose himself on one of the biggest platforms in hip-hop? We want to hear your thoughts because this conversation is far from over.
