Dallas, TX — When Don Chief stepped back onto BossTalk 101, the energy instantly reminded fans why his name still rings across the Dallas rap scene. Known as one of the city’s most relentless trap artists, Chief carries the same tone, presence, and lyrical bite that earned him respect years ago—proving he’s not just a veteran, but still a force. This time, however, he brought with him the next name to watch: Eat Greedy G, a Pleasant Grove rapper who represents the same hunger and drive that has always defined the “Eat Greedy” lifestyle.

Chief & G: Respect in Motion

Host E CEO kicked things off by joking about Chief’s absence, only for Chief to calmly reply that he’ll let the work speak for itself. Quickly, attention turned to Eat Greedy G, who admitted he was shocked when Chief first reached out to him online. His expression during the interview showed both gratitude and determination, as if he knew the co-sign wasn’t just casual—it meant something.

Co-host Mz Jamaica raised the question of why “Eat Greedy” was never trademarked. Chief’s response was firm: “It was more than paperwork. It was a way of life.” And while others have borrowed the phrase before, Eat Greedy G is the first artist Chief has truly put his stamp on, noting the young rapper’s maturity and authentic street presence.

Eat Greedy G: The Next Wave Out the Grove

Hailing from Pleasant Grove, the same neighborhood where Chief first made his mark, Eat Greedy G has been sharpening his craft since the age of 10. His sound is raw yet polished, streetwise yet ambitious. His latest project, I Signed Myself (2025), captures that mentality perfectly: 16 tracks of unfiltered Dallas energy, mostly produced by ZiggyMadeIt, featuring both Don Chief and Head Huncho Amir.

From “Where I’m At”—a hustler’s anthem—to “Dog Ways” and “Let Me Speak”, G’s music shows he’s calculated, confident, and unapologetically grounded in his truth. Earlier tracks like “Ungrateful” and “Celery” already hinted at his potential, but this project confirms it: Eat Greedy G is carving out his own lane in Dallas rap.

Don Chief: Trap Roots, Player-Coach Wisdom

In his early years, Don Chief wasn’t teaching—he was living fast, a young money-getting trap rapper whose hustle mirrored the ambition that drives today’s Dallas scene. Famously moving over 200,000 CDs independently and creating his own blueprint, Chief showed what it meant to be a self-made artist before the streaming era even hit.

Now, while still active and sharp in his own career, Chief is also stepping into a broader role—not stepping aside, but standing alongside artists like Eat Greedy G. “I see myself in G,” Chief said during the sit-down. “But I can give him the game while still making moves myself.” It’s that dual position—artist and mentor—that makes Chief as relevant as ever, while ensuring the “Eat Greedy” mentality continues to thrive.

Dallas Rap’s Living Blueprint

Though both are tied to the New Dallas movement, Don Chief and Eat Greedy G operate as their own unit. Together, they show that Dallas rap isn’t about eras passing—it’s about eras stacking. Chief still raps with the same pitch and presence that made him a staple, and with Eat Greedy G’s firepower added in, the “Eat Greedy” banner feels bigger than ever.
