Turkey Leg Hut Co-Owner Arrested for Allegedly Aiding Wanted Felon in Houston

HOUSTON, TX — Turkey Leg Hut co-owner Nakia Holmes was arrested Wednesday, October 16, in Harris County after allegedly helping Johnathan Saizon, a man wanted for kidnapping and assault, hide from police.
The
According to court documents, officers had been searching for Saizon after he allegedly kidnapped and beat his ex-girlfriend with a tire iron, holding her for several hours before dropping her off at a hospital. Investigators traced Saizon to Holmes’s Cypress home, where deputies later spotted him fleeing through the backyard as Holmes denied he was there.

Police say Holmes was initially pulled over for an expired registration when they questioned her about Saizon’s whereabouts. After changing her story, Holmes was taken into custody and charged with hindering the apprehension of a known felon, a felony offense.
Saizon now faces multiple charges, including aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault. Holmes’s bond was set at $10,000, and she’s due back in court October 17.
Holmes co-founded the popular Houston restaurant Turkey Leg Hut with her estranged husband Lynn Price. The once-iconic Third Ward eatery has faced several public controversies, including lawsuits, health code violations, and a bankruptcy filing earlier this year that discharged more than $6.5 million in claims.

The arrest adds another chapter to the ongoing turbulence surrounding the restaurant’s founders. As of now, Holmes remains under investigation while the case against Saizon continues in Harris County court.
