UGK OFFICIAL BUN B VOUCHES FOR NEW TYE HARRIS & HASHI SENJOO’S NEW PROJECT

Dallas is making noise for Texas, and Oak Cliff artists Tye Harris and Hashi Senjoo are adding their names to the conversation with 67/35, a collaborative album released September 28, 2026. The project takes its title from the highways that run through their home area, connecting the music to the streets and communities that shaped them.
The album’s rollout has already drawn attention with “Mr. 67 & Mr. 35,” a single accompanied by an official music video. The project’s cover also sparked conversation: it pays tribute to UGK’s classic Ridin’ Dirty, which recently marked 30 years. When Bun B gave his stamp of approval to the recreation, it put a spotlight on the young MCs and invited longtime fans to take a closer look at what they’re bringing to Texas hip-hop.
That cover is more than a visual nod. For many Texans, Highway 67 and I-35 are familiar routes—roads they’ve traveled, crossed, and watched connect different parts of the state. Harris and Senjoo use that shared geography to make a statement about where they come from and who they represent. Their homage shows confidence in carrying Texas pride forward while recognizing the artists who helped lay the foundation.
The tribute reaches into the album itself, too. 67/35 features intros and skits narrated by foodie influencer TyTy Jones, echoing the storytelling presence of Smoke D, the original narrator on Ridin’ Dirty. That detail helps frame the project as more than a single built to catch a moment. Harris and Senjoo are drawing from a Texas rap landmark while shaping a sound and identity of their own.

With Dallas continuing to fuel the state’s hip-hop momentum, 67/35 arrives as a proud Oak Cliff statement. Bun B’s endorsement has helped bring the project into focus, but the music gives listeners the chance to decide what Tye Harris and Hashi Senjoo’s next chapter can become. Texas pride runs through the title, the cover, and the stories behind the album—and these two artists are ready to put their hometown on the map.
